3. Seachem Tidal Power Aquarium Filter – 35 Gallon Large Fish Tank Filterblack
I recently upgraded my aquarium filter to the Seachem Tidal Power Aquarium Filter and I am blown away by its performance! This filter has a fully adjustable flow regulation feature which allows me to customize the water movement and oxygenation in my tank. I can adjust the dial from 450 gallons per hour all the way down to a gentle 90 gallons per hour. And let me tell you, my fish are loving it! They have never been happier swimming around in their new, perfectly regulated environment.
What really sold me on this filter is its surface skimmer. It captures water from just below the surface, where all those pesky fish oils accumulate, as well as deeper in the tank to remove any floating debris. My tank has never looked cleaner! Plus, with Tidal’s dual intake, it pulls water in through both a telescoping pipe below the surface and a surface skimmer. It’s like having two filters in one!
And can we talk about the heater holder? This is such a game changer for me. I can easily attach my heater to the side of the filter using an optional heater clip, which allows for better dispersal of heated water throughout my tank. It’s such a smart and convenient feature.
Finally, with its maintenance alert system, I no longer have to constantly check if my filter needs cleaning. When the filtration media becomes clogged with detritus, the Tidal Power Filter redirects water around it and back into the aquarium through an outlet on the side.
