Our World Bristol is a visionary project dedicated to transforming the historic site of the first provincial zoological garden in the world, Bristol Zoo Gardens, into a cutting-edge centre for research, education, and immersive experiences. Following the closure of the 185-year-old zoo, our mission is to rejuvenate this iconic location by leveraging Bristol’s renowned expertise in natural history filmmaking, digital innovation, and social change.

At Our World Bristol, visitors can embark on a journey through time and space, interacting with the wildest and most secret aspects of the animal kingdom. Our state-of-the-art technology enables guests to experience animals in their natural habitats, explore the world of insects, or travel back millions of years to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This virtual world, coupled with plans to enhance the historic gardens, aims to provide an unparalleled educational and recreational experience.

Our vision is to create a beacon for conservation and connection with the natural world. By integrating the site’s rich heritage with emerging technologies, we aspire to foster a deeper understanding of the complex web of life on Earth and inspire meaningful action to address the environmental challenges we face today.
